Baggage Notes:
*If you wish to co-captain with another player, follow the baggage procedures to ensure you are placed on the same
team with your co-captain.

**If you've submitted a baggage request, you will be required to submit a common email address to join
you and your baggage.  For a description of WAFC's policy on baggage and instructions,
go here.  As a reminder, one of
the reasons for playing Rec League is to meet new people.  Players seeking to baggage with multiple other players should
first contact the commissioner (wafcrecgods AT yahoogroups DOT com).

Payment must be received for both players for baggage requests to be fulfilled (see
FAQ for more details).
Description:  The WAFC Spring Rec League is open to any player in the D.C. metro area, although the
focus of the league is to introduce newer players to the sport.  Experienced players are still welcome,
though, and are encouraged to serve as team captains (or co-captains). Go to
WAFC website for details.

First game: Sunday, March 16, 2008
End of season tournament: Some combination of the weekends of May 3 (pool play) and May 10 (elimination rounds),
with a rain date of May 31-June 1.
Number of games: around 8 + tournament games (# of games depends upon # of teams and field availability).
Game dates: Mostly Sundays; fields are very tight this year so it's possible there may be a weeknight game late in the
season as daylight increases.
Location: Throughout the metropolitan area, including downtown DC; Arlington/Fairfax, VA; and Montgomery, Co., MD.
Most locations are metro accessible.

Since WAFC has no control over the weather, WAFC cannot guarantee all scheduled games will be played.

By joining the WAFC Spring Rec League, you acknowledge that you have read and understand all WAFC policies
regarding field usage, player conduct, and league rules (go to
WAFC website).  Joining a WAFC league includes
membership in the Washington Area Frisbee Club for the calendar year for when the league takes place.
To order a WAFC disc, complete your registration on this page and click "join now."  On the next page, click "keep shopping"
and go the merchandise tab to add a disc to your shopping cart.

The disc will be delivered to you by your team captain.  At this time, WAFC does not ship discs. You can also buy a disc from
local outdoor store EMS - they carry WAFC discs (go to WAFC.org for directions).
